WE’RE GOING TO MAKE IT!

We’re Going to Make It!

This morning, we continue the series on “Becoming a Stretcher Bearer.”

It is an understanding into the biblical concept of encouragement and support.

I read in a magazine the account of an airplane crash. In the story, one person interviewed used the phrase “we’re not going to make it.” When I finished the article, I couldn’t get that phrase and thought out of my mind.

I began to realize that phrase or thought is exactly how many people feel in regards to situations and circumstances that occur within their lives. It may not be a phrase that sounds so desperate. It could be a phrase that bellows frustration. Phrases like, “I cannot take it anymore.”, “How much longer?”, “Why does God not answer my prayer?”, “Why is this happening to my family and me?”

That evening, as I began to think of so many people that were feeling like they were not going to make it, a powerful thought came to my mind. When people do feel like they are not going to make it, our job or ministry is to shout louder, “WE’RE GOING TO MAKE IT.” I thought this is so true and needed. We need to come alongside hurting people with our voice and efforts – encouraging, lifting, and offering help.

This morning, I want to deal with this thought of so many people feeling like they are not going to make it. To become Stretcher Bearers shouting louder “WE’RE GOING TO MAKE IT!”
