Baptism is an important next step when you decide to follow Jesus and say YES to a relationship with HIM. We believe that baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience showing the essential facts in redemption–the death and resurrection of Christ; also the essential experience of the believer – death to sin and resurrection to newness of life (Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Matt. 28:19,20).

"Those who accepted His message were baptized".
Acts 2:41

When you get baptized, you announce...

you are a follower of Jesus Christ

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of theSon and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, Iam with you always, to the end of the age”.

Matthew 28:19,20

you are beginning a changed life in Christ

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life”. —

Romans 6:4

you are part of a new family

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ”.

Galatians 3:26,27
