THE MANNER OF LIFE – An Openness to Prayer
This morning, the message is an honest and open look into PRAYER. Prayer is the highest of privileges between God and His people. It is also one of the greatest mysteries, frustrating at times and can be neglected by so many.
Prayer unleashes limitless power and tremendous hope and strength. It is a bond between God and His people. Yet it is a doctrine in Christianity that is generally misunderstood.
To get you thinking, may I ask you some questions about you and prayer? First, how much is prayer part of your weekly life? How much do you believe in it? What are your feelings concerning prayer right now? What stories do you have of its power or frustration?
Someone once said “a prayer-less life can never be a God-guided life.” This morning, Paul will speak so profoundly about prayer, how to bring your requests before God, and how peace can become part of your prayer answer.
Open your Bible this morning as we study the book of Philippians together. I know this study will have a tremendous impact on you and our church. Enjoy this morning’s worship service.
Encouraging One Another,
Pastor Mike
Key Scripture: Philippians 4:4-7
Final Exhortations
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
