World Missions Month Kickoff
As we enter October, we will acknowledge World Missions Month. This is a time when we collectively and intentionally turn our attention towards missions and the work that is being done in obedience to the Great Commission. October begins with a visitation by Jill Lowery from International Ministries, a dedicated missionary whom our church wholeheartedly supports. The efforts of International Ministries remind us of the transformative power of faith and the impact we can make in the lives of others. Let us unite in prayerful support of Jill Lowery and the International Ministries organization as well as all our missionaries who spread the light of the Gospel worldwide.
Throughout the month of October, we will have opportunities to serve and reflect on how we are fulfilling the Great Commission as we participate in sharing the Gospel in our community and beyond. For starters, you might decide to commit to attending our Wednesday evening discipleship classes on “How to Share Jesus with Everyone” or donate your time and resources to help make the Harvest Fair on Saturday, October 26 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. a fruitful experience for outreach.
Jesus said, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witness in Jerusalem (local), Judea and Samaria (surrounding area) and to the ends of the earth (everywhere).
