Two Mothers, Two Mountains, Two Destinies
Officeonehope   -

In Galatians 4:21–31, Paul paints a powerful picture using two mothers, two covenants, and two destinies. One represents slavery under the law—human effort, striving, and spiritual pressure. The other represents freedom through God’s promise—grace, inheritance, and belonging. Paul’s message is clear: you cannot live under both. You must choose whether you will relate to God through performance or through promise.

The good news of the gospel is that we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman. Through Christ, we belong to the Jerusalem above. Our identity is not rooted in Mount Sinai’s thunder, but in heaven’s grace. We are sons and daughters of promise, heirs not because we achieved it, but because God declared it. Grace is not something we earn; it is something we receive.

So be encouraged today. Do not return to spiritual striving as if your inheritance depends on you. Live in the freedom Christ has secured. Walk confidently as a child of promise. The chains have been broken, the promise has been fulfilled, and your identity is secure in Him.

With hope and freedom in Christ,

Pastor Patrick
