The Magi’s Encounter with Jesus
Officeonehope   -

This Christmas season, our Encounters with Jesus series leads us to a surprising group of worshipers—the Magi. In Matthew 2:1–12, these wise men from the East journey far from home, following a star, because they were searching for a King they had never seen but deeply believed in.

When the Magi finally encounter Jesus, they do not offer Him advice or applause—they offer worship. They bow before a humble child and present costly gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Their encounter reminds us that Jesus is not only the King of the Jews, but the Savior for all nations, worthy of our best and our whole hearts.

After meeting Jesus, Scripture tells us the Magi “returned to their country by another route.” A true encounter with Christ always changes our direction. This Christmas, may we come seeking Jesus, worship Him fully, and leave transformed—walking a new path shaped by His presence.

Please join us at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24 for our annual Christmas Eve celebration. Invite friends and family for this blessed event!

In the journey with you,

Pastor Patrick
