Separation of Sheep & Goats
Officeonehope   -

This year, we have walked through Jesus’ parables—stories that reveal the heart of God and call us to live faithfully as His people. This Sunday, we conclude our Parable Series with one of Jesus’ most sobering teachings: the separation of the sheep and the goats (Matthew 25:31–46).
In this parable, Jesus reminds us that true faith is not just about what we say, but how we live. The sheep are welcomed into eternal life because their love for Christ overflowed into love for others—feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, visiting the sick and imprisoned. The goats, on the other hand, are judged for neglecting these very acts of compassion and ultimately rejecting Jesus Christ Himself.
This passage is a powerful reminder that how we treat “the least of these” is how we treat Christ Himself. It challenges us as a church to live out our faith in tangible, compassionate ways in our community and beyond.
As we close this series, may we not only hear the words of Jesus but also allow them to shape our lives. May we be found among His sheep—serving with love, walking in obedience, and living each day in light of eternity.
I plead with you One Hope to be faithful in EVERY area of your life. The parables were a sober reminder of that important calling as followers of Christ.
In His Service,
Pastor Patrick
