New Wine in Old Wineskins
This morning, we will explore the powerful message of New Wine in Old Wineskins from Matthew 9:14-17. Jesus’ words remind us that God is always doing something new—transforming hearts, renewing minds, and advancing His Kingdom in fresh and exciting ways. Just as new wine cannot be poured into old wineskins, our lives and ministries must remain open and flexible to embrace the work of His Spirit.
Sometimes, we can cling to traditions or practices that served us well in the past but no longer align with the new life God is bringing. Instead, Jesus invites us to let go of the old and step into the joy and power of His presence. Through prayer, fasting, and a willingness to follow where He leads, we can experience the fullness of His renewal in our church and community.
Let’s prepare our hearts to receive His “new wine,” celebrating the life He offers and trusting Him to guide us forward.
