Living Water for a Thirsty World
Today, we begin a new sermon series called Encounters with Jesus. Each week, we will step into the shoes of those who met Jesus face-to-face and had their lives changed forever. These encounters remind us that Jesus does not just meet people in Scripture—He meets us right where we are today.
Our first message comes from John 4:1–42, where Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at a well. She arrived at noon, weary and carrying the weight of her past, but she left filled with hope and joy. In this encounter, Jesus broke barriers, spoke truth, and offered her “living water” that would satisfy her deepest thirst. Her story didn’t end there—she ran back to her town and shared her testimony, and many others believed because of her words and later because of their own encounter with Jesus.
As we journey through this series, I encourage you to ask yourself: How is Jesus meeting me today? What thirst is He addressing in my soul? And who can I invite to encounter Him for themselves?
My prayer is that through these coming weeks, each of us will not only learn from the stories of others but also grow deeper in our own living encounter with Jesus.
With joy in Christ,
Pastor Patrick
