Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room
This Christmas Eve, let us reflect on the familiar story of Jesus’ birth. Luke tells us there was no room in the inn for Mary, Joseph, and the newborn baby Jesus (Luke 2:7). The Savior of the world was laid in a humble manger because no one had space for Him. Likewise, are we so caught up in the busyness of life that we leave no room for the One who came to save us? Just as Bethlehem’s inns were too full to welcome the King of Kings, our hearts can become overcrowded with distractions, leaving little space for Jesus.
Tonight, as we sing, pray, and reflect on the Christmas story, let us make room for our Savior. In the quiet of this sacred evening, may we lay aside the demands of our schedules, the worries of our minds, and the distractions of our hearts. Jesus came into a world that had no room for Him so that He might prepare a place for us with God forever. Let this Christmas be different. Let every heart prepare Him room, so the light of Christ may shine brighter in our lives and bring His hope, peace, joy, and love to everyone around us.
