Grace That’s Greater Than Fair
Officeonehope   -

This morning, we will be looking at Jesus’ parable in Matthew 20:1-16 – the story of the workers in the vineyard. At first glance, this parable seems unfair. Some work all day, some only am hour, yet everyone gets the same pay. But that’s exactly the point.
God’s grace turns our human ideas or fairness upside down. In God’s Kingdom, it’s not about earning or deserving – its about the generosity of the Master. His grace isn’t measured by time measured by time served, or effort given, but by His goodness.
I am grateful that we serve a God who is so full of grace that the child who accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior (as I did when I was 10 years old) is just as SAVED as the elderly man who accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in his eighties. While there are certainly great blessings that come from a life of walking in obedience with our Savior, I have learned to never give up praying for the lost because even in a dying breath a sinner can come to experience an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ that will last for eternity. That’s Grace That’s Greater Than Fair!
In His Service,
Pastor Patrick
