Children and Business
One of the greatest evidences of a transformed life is not simply what happens on Sunday morning, but what happens in our homes, our workplaces, and in our everyday relationships. In Ephesians 6:1-9, Paul reminds us that our faith is meant to shape every area of life. Whether we are children or parents, employees or employers, leaders or those under authority, we are called to live in a way that honors Jesus Christ. The Gospel is not confined to the walls of the church; it is meant to be lived out wherever God has placed us.
Our culture often resists authority and celebrates independence above all else. Yet Scripture teaches that God has established relationships of loving authority and willing submission for our good and for His glory. Children are called to obey and honor their parents. Parents are called to raise their children with patience, wisdom, and the loving instruction of the Lord. Employees are encouraged to work with integrity and excellence, not merely to impress others but as an act of worship to Christ. Employers and leaders are reminded that true leadership is never about power or privilege, but about serving others with fairness, compassion, and humility, knowing that we all answer to the same heavenly Master.
As we grow in our relationship with Christ, our relationships with others should become stronger, healthier, and more Christlike. Every conversation is an opportunity to show grace. Every responsibility is an opportunity to serve faithfully. Every relationship is an opportunity to reflect the love, humility, and character of our Savior. Imagine the testimony our church can have when our homes are marked by honor, our workplaces by integrity, and our lives by genuine Christlike love. May the Lord help each of us pursue godly relationships that point others to Jesus and bring glory to His name.
