A Father’s Heart
Today we take a moment to honor and celebrate then men in our lives who have shaped us with their strength, guidance, and love. Whether it’s a biological father, a stepfather, an adoptive father, a grandfather, or a spiritual father – each has the incredible opportunity to reflect something powerful: the heart of our Heavenly Father.
Thi9s morning, our message comes from one of the most beloved parables in Scripture – the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11 – 32). Though often focused on the wandering son, this story is truly a window into the heart of the father. A father who watches, waits, runs, embraces, forgives, and restores. A father who welcomes not with punishment but with a feast. A father who does not keep score, but who rejoices when a broken relationship is made whole.
This is the kind of love God has for each of us. And it is the kind of love we are called to extend to others.
So if you’ve wandered – come home.
If you’ve stayed faithful – stay close to the Father’s heart.
And if you’re a father yourself – know that your love and presence have an eternal impact.
May this Father’s Day not only be a time of appreciation and reflection, but also a day of grace, restoration, and hope.
