Righteousness Through Faith
What matters most to you? It’s a simple question, but the way we answer it reveals a great deal about how we live. We spend our time pursuing what we value, protecting what we cherish, and investing in what we believe will bring us the greatest satisfaction. But what if the things we value most are keeping us from experiencing the greatest treasure of all?
In Philippians 3:1–11, Paul reminds us that nothing compares to knowing Jesus Christ. Before meeting Christ, Paul had plenty of reasons to feel confident in his own accomplishments. He had an impressive religious background, a strong reputation, and a list of achievements that others might have admired. Yet when he encountered Jesus, his entire perspective changed.
Paul writes, “What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8).
What would change if knowing Jesus became our greatest priority? What if we measured success not simply by what we accomplished, but by how deeply we knew Christ? What if we pursued His presence, trusted His promises, and depended on His power in every season of life?
Everything else in this world is temporary, but knowing Christ is a treasure that never loses its value. May we be a church that treasures Jesus above everything else and longs to experience the transforming power of His resurrection every day.
In His Service,
Pastor Patrick
