Eternal ROI
Officeonehope   -

This morning, we reflect upon one of Jesus’ most surprising parables—the story of the shrewd manager in Luke 16:1–15. While the character in the story was far from perfect, Jesus commended his foresight and intentionality. Why? Because he understood the urgency of his situation and used what he had—while he still had it—to prepare for the future.
Jesus told this parable not to praise dishonesty, but to challenge us to be spiritually shrewd—to use our temporary, earthly resources in ways that impact eternity. Jesus said, “Use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings” (Luke 16:9). That’s eternal ROI—investing in what will last forever.
Money isn’t the problem—misplaced trust in money is. Jesus reminded us, “You cannot serve both God and money.” The real question is: Are we serving God with our money or serving money instead of God?
Let’s be people who manage God’s blessings with wisdom, generosity, and a kingdom-minded focus. Whether through regular giving, unexpected generosity, or intentional stewardship, every dollar given in faith becomes an investment in lives changed and eternity impacted.
I want to encourage you to be a faithful church, investing not just in buildings and budgets that are temporary—but in souls and stories that will last forever.

With gratitude,
Pastor Patrick
