Building on the Rock
In Matthew 7:21-27, Jesus gives a warning that hearing His words isn’t enough—we must put them into practice. Jesus illustrates the separation between the false disciples and the true believers with His parable of the wise and foolish builders. Just as a wise builder lays a foundation on solid rock, we are called to build our lives on Christ, the firm foundation that withstands every storm.
When challenges come, those who trust and obey Jesus will remain steadfast and secure. This week, take time to reflect on how you are building your faith. Are you standing on the solid rock of Christ, or on shifting sand? Let’s commit to living out His Word and trusting in His unshakable promises so that when challenges and trials come you will be able to stand.
