The Lord is Come
As we continue our journey through the Advent season, we reflect on the joyous truth that The Lord is Come! Today, we light the purple peace candle, representing the peace that Jesus brings to our hearts and our world. The prophet Isaiah foretold this peace approximately 700 years before Jesus’ birth when he declared: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6, NIV)
This Advent, may we open our hearts to the Prince of Peace, finding rest and assurance in His love and sovereignty.
Today, we are honored to welcome Doug Meye from the Aspire Network. Aspire supports the health and growth of churches by strengthening and encouraging church leadership teams. We are grateful for Doug’s ministry and look forward to his message as we focus on Christ, our King. Let us celebrate the peace and hope we have because the Lord is come!
