Father’s Day Lessons from Biblical Fathers
As we continue our journey through the Book of Joshua, we see that God desires faithfulness from His people. Before Israel could battle Jericho and begin to claim the Promised Land west of the Jordan River, they had to observe the ordinance of Passover. To participate in Passover, the males had to obey God’s command from Genesis and be circumcised. Unfortunately, the generation that wandered in the wilderness was disobedient and did not receive the Promised Land, partly due to their failure to be circumcised. Today, we’ll explore the significance of being faithful to God and responding to the circumcision of the heart that the Holy Spirit performs in us.
