Accomplishing God’s Purposes Together

Good morning One Hope!

This is a historic moment for all of us at One Hope at FBTC! In just two Sundays, our new Senior Pastor, Patrick Mesisca, who was called and confirmed last Sunday, will be with us and officially leading our church! God has been so incredibly faithful to our community and for over 80 years, our church has been a beacon of light in this community! Today, we are going to spend some time looking at God’s Word to prepare ourselves for this new and exciting season of ministry! The question we will be wrestling with this morning is: How can the people of One Hope and Pastor Patrick work together to accomplish God’s purposes?

To help us answer that question, we’ll be looking at four things God wants for His church and see how they line up with One Hope and Pastor Patrick’s passions. In order to fulfill God’s purposes, we must prioritize Biblical preaching and apologetics (Acts 20:20-21, 1 Peter 3:15), equip and empower people for ministry and community (Ephesians 4:11-12), invest in the next generation (Deuteronomy 6:4-9), and serve and share Jesus with the 8-15 people in our sphere of influence (John 1:35-42). Lastly, we will close our time talking about three ways that we can support our new Senior Pastor and continue being a healthy church (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, Hebrews 13:17).

Remember One Hope Church, because God is with us, our best days are not behind us, they are ahead of us. And by God’s power, we will see Him do even greater things in this new season of our church!
